Cheri Murphy is the Founder of Speak Life Ministries and currently a Doctoral student at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley with a focus on public worship and ritual protests.

Since 2014, Cheri has partnered with grassroots and non-profit organizations in creating and executing effective social justice campaigns in public spaces to call out inequities involving people of color, homelessness, and discrimination against LGBTQ and Muslim community. In addition, she has made academic and pastoral presentations throughout the East Bay focusing on the new church. This new church extends itself outside the church walls and involves grassroots and faith based organizations along with spiritual but not religious people eradicating existing policies which decentralize minorities.

Currently, she is a member and a licensed Spiritual Director at Heart and Soul Center of Light, in Oakland California.
