Event/Campus Care Staff (Part-time) | Organ Limberist
First Congregational Church of Oakland, a United Church of Christ, Where Love is First. Our mission is to give glory to God by reaching out to people of all racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds, ages, abilities, and sexual orientations. We welcome people into the beloved community where together we discover our gifts; develop authentic relationships with God and each other; join in passionate, creative, Spirit-led worship; grow in faith, understanding, power, love and service; and respond to the word of life we encounter in Jesus Christ by becoming part of what the Spirit is doing to create justice and peace, heal the earth, and restore kinship with all creation.
We desire to have employees who understand that their efforts, energy, and work contribute to the fulfillment of our mission and vision. Although our employees are separate from our spiritual community, it is important that all staff and contractors understand the context within which they are working. We are committed to creating an environment, in which all flourish, contribute their gifts, and support the effective functioning of the church.
